OBERHEIM DMX DRUM SAMPLES PACK

Ever wondered where New Order got that iconic drum sound from which is on their record Blue Monday?
Have you ever listened to Run DMC and their Sucker M.C'S classic and thought the same thing? What about Madonna's classic hit Holiday or Herbie Hancocks iconic Electro hit Rockit? Well those sounds all come from the classic Analogue drum machine called the Oberheim DMX.

This machine was responsible for many other pop and dance hits from the 80's and continues to be used to this day. Some may say this machine was over shadowed by the Roland 808, which over time could be quite true. But at the time this machine along with the 808 and the Linndrum was up there as a part of the very fabric of the musical landscape. The Oberheim drum machine has a pretty solid sound bank which are all timeless sounds and come in different variations. This machine can be adopted to any style of Electronic music even in today's music scene.

A few years back I recorded a tutorial for Ableton users on how to re-create Blue Monday which can be viewed in the video below here. This demonstrates how I used the Oberheim DMX in this tutorial to highlight the classic drum pattern that New Order used in their original recording.

So without any more delay, I have in the image link below the original factory drum sample singe hits for the Oberheim DMX and start importing them into your drum rack if you use Ableton or into whatever software you may use. You will find these hits a great addition to your tracks. Thanks for reading Rob @ Waxadisc
